In Automatic RFP Software - Part 1, I talked about a company called On-Line Consultant Software which makes software that automates RFP creation, submission (to and from vendors), and evaluation. My task was to go through their online demo and report how the software looks and feels.
I was able to see screen shots and descriptions as well as a Flash presentation, but unfortunately, I could not find the place to download the promised interactive demo. I even checked the site map and went through the demo sign up process a second time.
It is either not there, or my computer is blocking the link somehow as part of an ad or pop-up filter. Maybe I just missed the link somehow too. (Tip: when dealing with computers, never insist that something just IS NOT there, because someone else will walk over to the screen and point out that is and has been right in front of you the whole time.)
Nonetheless, I will report on what I did see. The screen shots looked very user friendly. Screens were uncluttered and seemed easy to manipulate. The process is broken down to four easy steps:
- Step 1: Survey Users
- Step 2: Manage RFP
- Step 3: Email RFPs
- Step 4: Evaluate Vendors
The company provides a humurous demonstration of the process in narrative form at this page.
Check Automatic RFP Software - Part 3 for more analysis of the features that really stood out.
