In honor of the scorching weather affecting much of the United States this week, I thought it would be nice to do a Purchasing tie in with a summer staple - roller coasters.
How does the RFP process resemble a roller coaster ride?
1) They both take forever to get started, but then take off like crazy.
2) Each can come to an unexpected screeching halt through no fault of the participants.
3) They're both fun and scary at the same time.
4) While you are in the middle of the experience, it feels like everything is out of control.
5) Some people go through them once and decide - never again!
6) You can hear about them, but it is not the same as experiencing the process yourself.
7) Every time you clear one hill, there is a bigger one waiting for you!
