Over the past six months or so, I've repeatedly seen references to all kinds of entertainment uses for podcasts. Though podcasts are the cutting edge of technology, they are also a throwback in some ways to many years ago. I find it interesting that Guiding Light, the longest running show of any type in history, which started on radio in 1937, now has episode podcasts available from its website. Like the old saying proclaims, "The more things change, the more they stay the same."
Podcasts are not solely for entertainment purposes. Hence, today's topic - Purchasing Podcasts.
I am all for finding ways that allow Sourcing professionals to share information about our careers. Podcasts will be another way to learn from our peers. Suppy and Demand Chain Executive Magazine introduced Purchasing podcasts a few months back. Check out the site, listen to their test podcast, and take their survey so you can help guide them as they develop future shows.
If you know of any other Purchasing podcasts, please let us know where to find them.
