We hear about incentives for salespeople in getting new customers, reaching a certain volume level over all accounts, reaching a new volume level with a particular client, or perhaps adding a new line of products to an existing account.
Salespeople have cash and stock bonuses, vacation bonuses, and product incentive promotions such as all salespeople who reach a certain goal during the month are eligible for a chance to win a new gas grill or something like that.
What kind of rewards do those on the other side of the negotiations table get?
The first thing that comes to mind is a yearly bonus for Buyers at a certain level of a corporation. Though companies vary of course, my experience is that newer buyers will not get this perk. It takes a promotion or two to get to the necessary level.
Another possible bonus comes at the conclusion of an intense Strategic Sourcing initiative. Participants may earn bonuses if company goals were reached.
What kind of rewards for Buyers are available in your organization?

Well it's true, buyers will never get this kind of bonuses . But i can't say i envy seller. Why? They live in a tight competition environment, where stress is daily involved. To achieve those bonuses they have to work hard until exhaustion. It's not recommended for all the money in the world.
