
Can you do business with someone you simply don't trust?
As consumers, we wouldn't patronize a company if we didn't trust the employee's capabilities to serve us properly. For example, would we go to a mechanic if we didn't believe he or she had the knowledge and skill to repair our brakes correctly? Would we shop at an appliance store if we didn't believe the salesperson could answer our questions correctly?
What about professional situations at work?
What do you do when the person you don't trust is the vendor rep for your new commodity? Or perhaps the owner of the business? What if the previous Buyer raves about the rep and everybody else loves him or her? What if you have a multi-year contract with the vendor and you are just at the beginning of it?
