
Humor is a great way to get one's point across in business, especially if the audience may have already have some negative preconceptions of the topic.
I wrote and directed a short skit titled Who Needs A Contract? which earned great applause (both coerced and genuine...you'll see what I mean when you read the script) and many positive comments.
It was performed for 300 employees of the Facilities Management division of a large corporation. Though quick and funny, it gets right to the heart of the matter about how employees view Purchasing Departments and how they would view them differently if they understood the value that the Purchasing Department brings to an organization.
